Extrupol Packaging

Our History

In 1981 Mr Norman Kemp established Kemp Packaging Ltd and began trading as a small packaging supply company operating from Norman’s house, business was brisk and Norman soon found that he could no longer operate from home and moved into rented offices in Scartho Grimsby.

In 1992, when Norman retired, the company was purchased by Extrupol Packaging’s current owner and managing director Mr Simon Wittey. At the time Simon had over 20 years of polythene manufacturing experience and brought a wealth of knowledge to the company, which progressed rapidly increasing it’s customer base whilst vastly enlarging it’s range of packaging products.

In 1999 it soon became apparent that the business could not operate successfully from an office alone, so in October of that year Kemp Packaging moved to Louth, and into a warehouse and two- storey office complex, followed by a second move to the Meridian centre on the Fairfield Industrial Estate.

Our old premises in the Meridian centre Louth

Reacting to the ever more competitive marketplace we moved towards greater in house manufacturing capabilities and out of this Extrupol Packaging Ltd was born. We are now in larger premises across the road but still on Belvoir way. Our move into manufacturing was prompted by the need to have the best possible quality control of the end product. The result is more flexibility in both speed of delivery and minimum order quantities giving a competitive edge in the marketplace.
We are able to convert many different sizes and configurations of polythene bag and have now moved into extrusion running five extruders which enables us to cover a wide range of size requirements. The company now supplies an impressive list of blue chip companies with an infinite range of packaging products including polythene bags, sheets, and rolls, bubble wrap, pallet stretch wrap, adhesive tapes etc.

We pride ourselves on our ability to source almost any packaging material, and as well as extruding and converting substantial quantities of polythene in house we have access to thousands of tonnes of polythene manufacturing capacity.

The environment is now a major concern to us all, so we are now able to offer an infinite variety of Bio-Degradeable, Photo-Degradeable,and Compostable Bags and Sacks Manufactured to your specification.
